How are people getting these low rates? I have zero tickets, Full coverage cost me 1k+ for 6 months in SoCal.
Are you insured under your name or your parents?
If the car was under your parents name and you insure it under your parents, then yes, I can see how it can run you in the 700-800 range.

Approximately:
1 : located close together <approximate leaves>
2 : nearly correct or exact <an approximate solution>
The remaining $1,600 he didn't include is 20% of $8,000. That is no where near "nearly correct or exact"
And to answer your question from earlier - I am insured through State Farm on my own policy, the car is also in my name.

I accidentally based it off 10 months instead of 12. I had **** on my mind at the moment. Big deal. $9600 is even worse as he could buy himself another G35 in 2.5 years of insurance payments.
When i was young, my friends with poor driving records had $4000/year policies. I can't see how he has almost a $10K policy unless he has a serious record.
Now if it was $800/6 months, then it would make sense. $1600/year seems about right even though i'm 28, 1 tix and pay $2050/year on my '06 Sedan
