Not many of us appreciate or respect an immature pu$$y like you that just joined and acts like a fool so quickly. If you're gonna try to insult me, at least have the creativity to come up with a new name to call me. You already used the 'beeeeotch' in Vrod's thread. Made an a$$ of yourself over there too I see.
Have a nice day!
Lol!!! By the way 'shport! Blue is a great guy, you just happened to say a bunch of idiotic gibberish and got nailed! Grow up and take it like a man and be a 'shport enough to accept that you made a mistake. Silly name calling makes you look like even more of an "****"!Originally Posted by Blue Dream

back to the rear... I had the prob when I first got the G a few months ago. I got me an extended warranty and the dealership took care of it. Greased up the axle and changed a bunch of washers and bushings. Seems like a real common problem w/ the G. even w/ all its faults the G is one of the ost enjoyable cars that I've owned.

I had this problem when I bought my G last October, but the dealer greased the axles and it hasn't had a problem since.

$100 deductible seems high. Mine had a $50 deductible before I upgraded to the Elite Warranty. Maybe they are considering each side as a separate claim? If so I would definitely argue that BS.

Actually, I don't think that's correct. This is just to fix an annoying tick caused by two surfaces that move ever so slightly when putting torsion on the axle. It will never wear enough or create enough heat to cause a failure.Originally Posted by BuckeyeInMI
It may not bother you, but it's bad for the car. Eventually your axle will fail and the car will stop moving. There's a reason these parts are greased. You know, friction, and the reduction thereof?

Dealership charges about $160 to have it done, not sure if they did anything else. pretty expensive.
source: the car i am buying just had it done.

Does this reoccur after X amount of miles?
I had the dealer do the TSB 5K miles ago....should that be it? Or will it come back down the road?

What kind of luxury car is this? Not a keeper I guess. So, this is another list of crap we have to put up every 3-4 years?
New tires every 10-15k. (feathering, and other unnatural wear)
Spark Plugs #6 seal every 60k
Axle Grease (causes clicking)
Window seal (my 2006 seal already showing signs of cracking)
Hood hinges (gets stuck and causing hood to destroy the fenders)
Window motors, Door lock mechanism, etc etc.
Leather seat tearing where it meets the plastic
Obviously this car wasn't built to last.
Window seal, hood hinges, seat and the suspension are obvious design flaws in this car.
Not to mention they decided to increase the "rev" of the 06 revup motors w/o upgrading the pistons and rings. Cause the motor to burn oil.

Talk to me after you've owned a Cadillac. Soon as that thing was outta warranty I sold it... I haven't had any of those problems you've described.

Add to that list
BMW
Audi
Mercedes
Acura
Lexus (if it ever does break)
Either I, or immediate family have owned 4 out of the 5 above (haven't owned an Audi..yet). Once it's out of warranty...sell it
