Need serious help about my ABS

Here's my problem, if I accelerate and let go off the gas pedal keep hering my ABS pssssst... psssttt? and when I step on the brakes, I can feel my brakes go down and ABS kicks in? I never have this problem when I had my 20" MMR HR4. The dealer told me that it's just the rear tire. After spending $430 for the tire and installation, it's too depressing that I still have issues. I'm so stressed up!

Also I keep hearing thing clicking noise inside by the passenger side. as if something is knocking? every time I let go of the gas pedal I can hear the ABS PPSSSSTT! plus THAT KNOCKING SOUND? is there anything related on my suspensions? should I wait for the ECU to adjust cause I had the 20's for about 6 months. I need serious help. Thanks in advance.

Not sure what the problem is, but the ECU doesn't need to adjust to new wheels. It couldn't care less how big they are/were as long as the tires are reasonably close to stock diameters.

How do you know it's the ABS making that noise? It could be a bearing, or the axle clicking issue.

I checked the brake fkuid and it's on normal level. I found a coupe of things to look at but i have to bring it in to the dealer.
1. ABS actuator
2. Bad sensor (Cam Shaft)
3.Any ABS related parts

Well, the reason I said may be it's the ABS is because every time I brake the ABS is kicking in with a ping or pssst sound. the after 10 mins. my ABS,SLIP and vdc LIGHTS TURNS ON. but after the lights comes on, the ABS and the noise are gone?

I called my service advisor and set up an appointment on monday but I have to pay $125/hr labor. it's just weird it happened all of a sudden. thanks ur suggestions.

of course the noises are gone then, bc once the lights come on, those systems are deactivated.

the dealer can use the Consult to troubleshoot. should be pretty quick

Do them yourself. Rotors and pads are a piece of cake to install.

Yup! I'll do it myself. I just got another info from another forum that it is also the front ABS bearing. here's a sound clip of my problem. the cliking sound is when I let go of the gas and the noise in the end is when I made a full stop.

Sorry for the ancient bump. I am having this same exact problem on my 03 coupe. When i'm letting the car engine brake, the abs goes nuts. Then the ABS, SLIP, and VDC lights go off. I also have a clicking noise coming from the front during moderate to heavy braking. Just wondering if anyone has come across a solution. I am running OEM 19s on OEM tire specs. I have changed the brake pads, rotors, topped off the fluid, all to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

There are several inconsistent things in what you describe, but I'll do my best.

I don't know about the knocking side, but a hissing sound isn't necessarily the ABS. The only thing that can hiss in a brake system is the power brake booster that gives you power assist. It's a big black can looking thing on the firewall in front of the driver in the engine bay. It's a sealed device that uses engine vacuum to boost brake pressure. If you have an air leak in the booster or any vacuum hoses from the engine to the booster, you will hear the hissing sound, especially when you let go of the gas. When you're on the gas, the engine has less vacuum. When you're full throttle, there's basically zero vacuum, but at idle, it's the strongest, so that's the hissing.

I assume your brake pedal "going down" means it pushes through farther than you're used to. That's usually caused by air in the brake lines, and it's dangerous, your brakes need to be bled (easy, should be cheap).

As for knocking, no idea. If your brake pedal pulsates while the knocking happens, it's probably an uneven rotor or something, if it's going over bumps, it's probably your suspension, if it's a function of vehicle speed, then maybe you have a deformed tire or rim.

If you don't know about these systems, take your car to a mechanic. Losing your power brake assist or having air in brake lines is dangerous, since you might not be able to stop fast in an emergency.
