Quicker smoother shifts in 05+ vs 03-04 6MTs

Anyone who has previously owned an 03-04 and driven an 05-up notice this?
I had an 03 6MT and it drove much rougher than my 05 all around, the 03 had a stiffer clutch and notch-ier shifter engagement, so you pretty much had to use more pressure, making it easier to miss gears at WOT. My 05's clutch is much softer and the shifter engagement is so smooth you can shift with the flick of the wrist, a much more refined drive. But, the thing I noticed the most is at WOT I can shift it so much faster than my 03, I can literally slam it into gear vs the 03 where you shift then it clicks into gear. This was just an observation i made a few days ago while playing with my friend in his M3. You can pretty much shift fast enough so the RPMs dont drop, I thought this was amazing considering the 05 is stock and my 03 was modded. But anyone have any input on this?

Oh yeah.. I noticed this in the 350z.. Before I bought my G I test drove a ton of 03-04 Z's and I was always shocked with how freaking heavy and stiff the cluth was.. It was something like i've never driven before... Then recently I test drove an 08 HR Z and the clutch was so nice and smooth compared to the 03-04's.. Even my friends 05 G had the nice soft clutch compard to the 03-04

However though, the gear box in all year Z's and G's still feel notchy as *** to me.. Especially my friend's 05 G. I don't like the feel of putting it in any gear.. feels like you're shifting through rocks.. I love powershifting 3 --> 4.. drooool it feels so good to me.

I have noticed the difference. However, on one point, I am up for anyone that wants to see if they can shift their 05+ faster than I can shift my 03.
