Honest opinions on Genesis>G35
Rx-7 is an icon. It was also priced like an iconic car. It was made to compete with the super cars of the time...so was the NSX....so was a Supra...and the G35, as pretty of a car as it is, is not one of the most beautiful cars ever, as you so put it. Get real man. The only thing that the G35 did was keep Infiniti from going under, and kudos to it for that. Aside from that, it is over weight, under powered, with an average interior. Go sit in a 06 G35 then go sit in an IS350, you'll think you're a decade in the future when you compare the two. And the IS350 is faster. And it out performed the competition of it's time. Does that make it an iconic car as well?
U have no right to say that to anyone who cares what he has its his choice and really u have no right being on these forums insulting someone that's not what this place is ment for. U wanna talk realistically just think of hyndai compared to infiniti its like a lexus isf and a cobalt ls in comparison pure knock off is what the companys about they try and replicate everything mercedez does anyway at least our cars are original. Yea I bought my car used 8300 with a 17k$ budget from my G6 getting totaled but I'd still make my choice over and over I guess if I paid more for a car of less quality I'd be upset too....

I paid about 29k after taxes for my fully loaded, Second gen G with 19k miles.
I could have got a brand new genesis for the same but I definitely think I made the right choice in getting the barely used G.
I can make fun of you poor college a$$ all I want cause I'm only 20 and also take classes.
holy shyt! you paid what for your G?! i paid 20k in 08 for my 06 coupe with 30,000 miles.
and how are you guys comparing a rwd car to fwd cars? this is rediculous! lexus IS? come on, it may have a little more power, but power is just a function of how much you want to spend, on any platform. its a lot more difficult to change a fwd car to a rwd car. i cant stand the torque steer on fwd cars. you want to get groceries and pick up the kids, keep your sonotas and ISs. ill keep my rwd platform.

What he's paying me? I can disagree with him that a genesis or sonata is better then the G, and at the same time I can clearly see he is making you look like a idiot.

well ill be horse****, i could have sworn that most IS cars were fwd with the remaining ones awd. i was thinking about trading in for an IS but then i just decided to put in an order for an lfa
The only thing I don't realize is how much fan boism there is in this community. A collectible? Just like all the beat to **** 240zs I see goind around, being bought up by all the 16-22 year olds wanting to Tokyo drift the **** out of them? With deep dish wheels, making 300whp on their red tops, and their 4 points harnesses? Get real man, only people into Nissans will give a **** about them 30 years from now. Look who's buying them up right now in the used market, a bunch of kids pretending the G35 is the greatest thing since sliced bread. That is who cares about these cars on the used front. You will never have someone buy it, and dump $50k into it to get it back to showroom stock condition.
Find me all those 16-22 year olds driving 1970s nissan Zs.

Yes I did a custom lambo orange paint job on my 2nd G35 back in 2006. I could count the number of people on this site doing custom work on my fingers. I am sure back then, you would have nutted all over it, while driving your moms minivan to highschool. It is called trying something new. I know you perfer to wait 8 years until everything is played out, buy your used parts cheap and not really do any real work yourself. I do real work that's why I don't need a warranty unlike people who have hyundias I had more custom parts on my cars than you have total mods on yours. When you inovate, it is alot of trial and error. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. So basically you're admitting that you destroyed a great looking car

You made a good choice with the G, but you paid way too much. So you clearly don't know the value of a dollar. Sounds like you're not going to school full-time and you should probably take more classes so you don't overpay $9000 for a car again.
