G35 bolt on mods
yep...
i dont think you can get the final drive for an automatic
also if you get cams you might as well port and polish the heads, get stainless steel valve springs and titanium valves while the engine is out
with the mods listed before me and the internal work done you will be well over 300 to the wheels.

Little off topic, but 3.7 gears and transgo vb kit are my next mods. Was the pumpkin a direct fit? How much did you pay for it? How much was the install? And most importantly, did you lose your cruise control?
1. 2nd gen MT pumpkins are direct swap to 1st gen MT & AT, to swap 2nd gen AT pumpkins you have to swap out a flange and grind down a bolt, there's a write up somewhere on here.
2. $250 Ebay
3. don't remember, not expansive though
4. no cc passed 80mph

Yeah I remember reading that thread about the flange. I'd be scared buying something like this on eBay haha, but I guess it time to start searching. I remember reading about no cc past 80 too, shouldn't be a problem for me.
One last question, what type of differential do you have?
Thanks for the answers!

someone on the forum has 275whp NA i forgot who there name was,
well if you want to go near or over 300whp NA
Full exhaust(catback exhaust,testpipe or hfc,headers)
MD Spacer
Intake(whichever one, they net you almost the same)
Cams
Grounding Kit
Stillen Engine Dampner
Valve Body Upgrade
torque converter(2800-3300 stall)
Upgrade Final Drive(3.7 or 3.9 gears) with LSD(Quaife)
Tune
Idk 6k-8k estimated? So its up to you whether its worth it or not. You wont need to deal with the hassles of FI (blown motor) but FI gives you way more. So in the end its up to you.

I'd be confused too if I came on here and read all these opinions, and that's what they are....opinions. If you do enough research doing a few selected bolt on mods will increase HP that you can feel, more seat of the pants than dyno. Depending on what year G you have and even where you live makes a difference. Florida for example, either they don't have laws or no one enforces them. Our members there do things I would be put in jail for here in CA....Ouch! All year G35's will benefit from plenum spacers, intakes and exhaust, '05+ does very well with MotorDynes MREV2 and 5/16" spacer....that's an easy 10+HP. Attend some of our meets in your area, then you can talk to other members and get an idea what you'd like to do.
Good Luck....Gary

HKS Replica Exhaust: 320 shipped on ebay
Magnaflow Xpipe: 83 shipped
Labor for welding/exhaust straightening:80
MREV2: 350 (used)
5/16th Spacer: 150 (used)
---------------------------------
$983 dollars
These three things are the only things really worth doing on a REVUP, and I doubt many exhausts are going to drastically outperform another. At this point you'd save for a tune or decide if you want to take the risk on testpipes/hfc. 1k is not bad for probably 15-20whp and at least 25whp torque.

I am glad i am in Florida very similar to cali weather wise and no emission inspection crap. The only thing that sucks is that they don't have marijuana for medicinal purposes.
