rims and tires

so i am thinking of buying new rims and tires. The rims are sportmax 006 19*9.5 in the rear and then 19*8.5 in the front, and the tires are going to be nitto 555. sizes are 275 35 19 in the rear and then 235 or 245 35 19 in the front.

Daniel, post some pic of the rims. The tire size 245/35F and 275/35R will work very well. Keep in mind that with rims weight is as important as how they look, that's why our OEM rims are light weight....

Sorry Daniel, those are not the kinda wheels you want to put on your G35. There not even close to the same quality as the OEM wheels your car came with. Consider a nice set of '06 coupe wheels or the G37 coupe wheels, they even look good on sedans check our MARKETPLACE for these wheels.

I gotta agree, do NOT buy those wheels. They're probably very heavy and will likely bend the first time you hit even a minor pothole. There's a reason they're only $175 a wheel. And I hate wheels with 10 lug nut holes.

Get a set of 19" Coupe wheels. They're forged by Ray's Engineering, and will be significantly better than anything you find aftermarket unless you spend $2000+. The style is very similar, and you could paint them black if that's the color you want. It is by far the best, least expensive option for 19's.

I have the 20" sportmax 006's on my G and I'm happy with them. I've had them for about 25k-30k miles and no problems so far. I have hit many potholes and they handled them fine. Just keep an eye on your tire pressure with lower profile tires. I would say they look much better in person than the online pics and for the price you can't beat it. Offset needs spacers on a coupe and a drop though to give it a much better look. If you are looking for a budget set of aftermarket wheels I would recommend them. Here's a pic of mine that I could find.

For winter? In Orygun? I guess if you ski/board alot, you'll need something to get you up to Hood, but you wouldn't be going to Hood that much since you often need chains, and there's no way you'd run chains on a 19" setup with little to no tire gap. I always managed on my all seasons with my Maxima, but I could run chains when necessary. I'd also be careful about getting full-on winter tires because you'll grind them to dust pretty quickly since it doesn't get all that cold in the winter. I'd get some good quality all-seasons, like Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus.

Either check out some other people's setups with similar wheel dimensions (width, offset, tire size), or wait until you get the wheels and tires so you can measure how much you need. A 9.5" with 35 offset on a 275 tire is going to be pretty close to flush.
