Because they have inspections in Oregon too, just trying to keep this new member legal and out of the impound yard.... 16 HP gains stock with just a tune....seriously doubtful!!!

my car is already pretty illegal so that doesnt really matter and if your talking about a pro tune, i have to buy a access port first and dont see that really being worth and then the tune is 400

That's true, but there's an even better option, and that's having both installed. Each option has it's pluses and minuses.

CCV Pro: Allows for a totally unheated throttle body and plenum, which is ideal in the summer.
CCV Con: You have to monitor the outside air temp, pop the hood to change the flow, plenum is heated when "on".
Cu ISO Pro: Isolates plenum from throttle body so plenum is never heated, never have to pop the hood.
Cu ISO Con: Throttle body is always heated.

The ideal setup is to have both because you get all of the Pros and none of the Cons, a Copper ISO so the plenum is never heated, and a CCV so you can stop heating the TB in the summer. You might have to open the hood a few times a year. Turn on the flow in the fall, and turn it off in the Spring once the weather warms up.

When you say TUNE are you referring to a TUNE-UP? And $400 for a tuneup?! I was thinking around $150ish for one..Am I correct? Where would you go to get a nice tube-up anyways? Infiniti Dealership

^ So are your talking about getting the ECU re-flashed?
If so I know a really good place, Injected Performance. Mail it to them and they will send it back to you re-flashed. www.injectedperformance.com

A tune is more precise than just a reflash. A reflash takes your current setup and guesses at what is optimal and flashes for that. But 2 cars with the exact same bolt ons will have slightly different responses to a predetermined flash. They'll both be better off, but a tune is a live performance kind of thing, where small adjustments are made to fit the tune to the specific car. It costs more to get a tune, but you get more out of it.

So you talking about a dyno tune? Where you put it up run it a few times, open it up adjust your A/F or whatever, then run it on the dyno a few more times. That kind of full tune?
