A few things i did today

I am currently at 29250 miles i have a 06 5at coupe. I replaced the two belts, did front brake pads and rotors, and tranny drain n fill with the matic-S. I took the car for a test drive and it felt as if i gained so much power.

did you feel that the belt change & the tranny flush were necessary? my 06 5AT has 33K miles and im hesitant to do the tranny flush, and never considered changing the belts

I did a complete fluid change at 25K miles only because my car's 5 years old and I could tell the difference too. Had my Nissan
dealership do it since they charged my half of what Infiniti wanted for the same drain/fill....

At Nissan I had the trans, differential and radiator flushed and filled. I believe my cost was just over $200. Infiniti wanted $300 just for the trans.... bastards!

I did a simple drain n fill as stated in my post. My A/C belt began to crack at about 19000 miles, so i decided to just change both belts. I am trying to get my 30 k service in. Next week i will be doing radiator and rear diff

i can get matic -s tranny fulid for $7.70 a quart. you should get about 5 quarts. you will only need 4 quarts for a simple drain n fill. It is so easy you can do it your self you shouldn't spend no more than $50.00.

Keep in mind that if you're draining your own AT fluid to replace with the same amount removed. Over filling or under filling can have adverse affects as there may be a difference in pressure if the quantity isn't to spec. Also, without using a trans flush machine, you're leaving a significant amount of old fluid trapped inside mixed with the new fluid. If you want it changed correctly, bring it to the dealer or find a shop with a flush machine.

I agree. I just changed the tranny fluid in my Jeep Cherokee and notice alot of little specs of metal that would have been able to get out if I could have flushed it. So changing the fluid seems like I'm doing half the job.
