wow...
Yeah I always worry someone will dry to grab my double din but those pics above pretty much explain it. ALMOST impossible for them to take it out of the dash unless they have the time to properly uninstall and that is highly unlikely!!

Maybe in one of those so-called red states like Texas or Montana, but probably not California. I can put some thorny bushes underneath the windows of my house and if a burglar gets beat up by them I'm not at fault, but I can't put a booby trap in place that shoots him full of darts/needles if he tries to break in.

BTW, I don't care if you do it or not, just be careful. And if you ever get your door worked on by someone else, for cripes sake please remember to take it out first!

Only in TX i beleive is it legal to protect personal property in a manner which may cause bodily harm.

Every other state, if you shoot someone stealing your car...you can go to jail. Sucks, but that's how it is.

Yeah but that is what insurance is for...
If someone breaks in my car I would prefer they cause more damage than less. There is no sense of filing a small claim just to have your rates increase, because you will end up paying for it in the end...

I did look into getting the motion alarms installed on the factory alarm system, $100 bucks so I think I will move forward with that as well...

Anyone know if that is a good quote?

Of course. Don't forget we all wear Stetsons, ride to work on a horse, and live on a big azz ranch also.

All kidding aside, a LOT of us have some form of 'home protection'. Doesn't seem to make an impression on some people though. Our crime rate is as bad as the rest of the country. At least we can try to deter some jerks

Sounds more like some ricer who F'd up his G tried to steal your keyhole cover. Same thing happened to me the 1st week I bought my car.

Some idiot stole my stock amber signals and cut the socket out of the wiring harness. Dealership wanted 1500 to replace the wiring harness.
