I've been hearing these creaking sound from the rear of the car but I am not sure if they come from the rear suspension or somewhere in the trunk. My cars have the Z revised suspension and I remember reading somewhere that the Z suspension can be "creaky". The sound comes on when the car moving slow over bumps I guess when the suspension moving up and down but I don't think I hear them on the freeway or when it travel sufficiently fast.

Does anyone have this problem before?

when u have the car turned off, and when you jump up and down on the driver's seat does it make that creak? if so, i have the same problem. i think it might be the spring.

Same problem here. Creaking from the rear of the vehicle. Pushing on either rear corner produces the same creaking sound. First noticed it when I would get out of the car (I only weigh 170) Now I notice it when driving slow turning into or out of parking lots/driveways. I haven't had a chance to look under the vehicle yet, so if anyone figures this out, please post. Thanks

Check this thread out. I've been having the same problem. I need to take it to the dealer to get it checked out.

I have the same problem, its pretty annoying but I don't know what it is.

It is NOT the axle click, since when does a creak/squeaking sound become a click?

I've read several posts about a brace under/behind the back seats needing to be tightened. The noises you guys mention make me think this might be your problem.

You have to remove the back seats to access this brace and tighten it.

IIRC it's a fairly simple process.

We had the same issue on our '05 sedan - sounded like I had an old school styrofoam cooler sitting in the back seat. There's a TSB on it, but it shows for earlier models. Anyhow, the fix was tightening the bolts on the brace behind the back seats and adding loctite. Had them replace the rear p/w regulator bolts to fix a creaking noise there, and they replaced the faceplate on the radio that was coming unglued. Our only other warranty claim was for a battery very early on.

Any more info on how to do this? Thanks.

If it's the same problem i'm having and it's the brace i will be very happy since it sounds like a easy fix.

You'd have to do a search on fixing creaks or rattles. I read it months ago.

How do you remove the rear seats? where is this brace located? under the deck where the 3rd brake light is?
