Aluminum Pedal Instal help

I had to get the aluminum drilled OEM pedals for my coupe, and they look sweet, but I am having trouble getting the brake and clutch pedals on. They have stiff rubber lips going around the whole back side which makes it extremely hard to get them around the pedals. I tried soaking them in very hot water to make it more flexible, and just about any flat tool to try to pry the lips over the pedal, including a bottle opener. Does anybody have any good methods for getting these pedals on?

I did the boiling hot water thing as well as a small flat head screwdriver. It took a while and I ended up with sore fingers Just takes some persistence.

I haven't done it on the G (yet), but if memory serves, dishsoap and persistence are the keys to it. But this is a good thing, because you don't want them coming off. Ever.

Yep, they are a PITA to get on, especially the brake pedal on the 6mt setup for some reason. I've done this three times, and it's still difficult to do. The heating them up doesn't seem to last long enough to actually get the pedal on, so alot of flat tip screwdriver manuevering is what it's gonna take. I haven't personally tried the soapy water trick though.
