60K service... Infiniti rip off?
Ok guys I need your help. Please no complaining in the responds. That doesn't help anyone.
So when I got my last oil change at Infiniti of Peoria, they told me I needed to do 60k service bc my car is just around there. Infiniti is asking 755 to do the full service. Would take a whole day but they would give me a loaner. Talk to my rep at Nissan and he said he can do it for 600. Whatever..
Now...
My car had oil consumption in December and got the engine swapped. I asked the advisor to list out for me what all is included in 60k service and seemed like it was: all fluid change, tire rotation, new air filter, and de-carb throttle service.
Wouldnt they have to do like more then half of this with the engine swap? Am I getting ripped of for something I don't need? The price is pissing me off as is.. ugh

o Replace engine oil with Fully Synthetic Motor Oil and Nissan Oil Filter
Do an oil change
o Replace automatic/manual transmission fluid with Nissan S-Matic Transmission Fluid
You just got a new tranny installed back in december. about 10k miles ago, you're fine.
o Replace differential oil
You should do this one.
o Replace engine air filter with Nissan Engine Air Filter
You have an intake, you're fine.
o Replace engine coolant/flush system
You just got a new motor, and then a new radiator shortly after. You had this done not too long ago.
o Replace in-cabin microfilter with Nissan In-cabin Air Filter
This one is all labor, just do it yourself or go somewhere else
o Inspect all lights, tires, suspension parts/axles, brakes/pads/rotors/lines, exhaust, ball joints
You have pretty new tires, your suspension is all ok.. Your brakes are not even a year old. Your car is sound while driving.. Just had new springs put on.
o Replace all belts
This one is pretty much all labor too.. Have another shop that does cheaper labor do this.

Rip.
If you had your engine replaced you have fresh coolant. if it's the original trans it's time for fluid change and differential too. That doesn't cost $600. Amsoil 4 qts trans and 2 qts differential will run about $80 and you'll need a $10 fluid pump
They have fram charcoal in cabin filters at walmart for $15 and it's a 10 minute job.
Really just check your work order from the engine replace. It lists eveything they replaced. I see coolant and belts on mine.

Thanks.. yea I talked to my advisor and few friends and it is a rip off. Im just getting the differential service and oil change done w the dealer tomorrow morning. Everything else on the 60k service list has already been done on my car within last 6 months. Saved myself 450.
Thanks everyone.
