I got it!!!!

Ladies...I am now the owner of a beautiful 2007 G35 Sport Coupe for just under $28,000. I will post pictures soo.....WAIT...I would have to actually have the car for that! Ahhhhh

They are talking about 7-10 days for the bank check to clear before they release the car which is 3 hours commute from me! Well..it looks sweet. Now to clear out the garage.

Am I not supposed to be happy? Well....I'm five thousand out of pocket in strange economical times and I still have to ride my bicycle for 2 more weeks, plus gotta deal wit DMV. I'll save the joy for the drive home.

Good news is my suspension upgrades for my bike should arrive today!! Now that I'm happy about since I've been without any wheels for weeks now and my suspension is supposed to be insane. Can't wait to hit some twisties!

If anybody needs me, I'l be wrenching in the garage hooking up my "rail" adapter mounts.

^^ I'm sure he would have been all over that beaut if it wasn't for the automatic transmission. Too much bling for my taste. I'd go with a stock one.

What is with 7-10 business days??

I'm getting nervous now. Why are they saying 7-10 days to get my USED car of the lot? Bank says they will pay dealer instantly(electronaically) once they get the paperwork from dealer. What gives?

Call your bank. I once purchased a used car from a dealer and they let me take it the same day with a deposit and a promise that I would come back with the rest of the money. Granted it was 20k less than the car you are buying, but still. Dealers usually have a way to let you take the car the same day, somehow, someway. I also bought a Acura CL-S new from Acura, I gave them the deposit and told them I would provide my own financing. They set me up on a contact where I would have X amount of days to provide them funds or they would automatically issue me a loan through Acura, which I was already approved for it of course.

Bottom line is that I think it sucks that they are making you wait, but you did buy it from a dealer so I doubt they are trying to pull anything funny.

Am I the only one who is depressed to see how much the resell value of these cars have dropped in the last 1.5 years? Mine dropped like $9,000.00!

Buy it now!! Pay the interest so the banks pay back the bailout money you gave them.

First...get a coupe if your lifestyle permits. Second...manual transmission. For me, I own a 2006 coupe and love it. I do however wish that I had the dual intake that I think came out in 2008 for the couple and 2007 for the sedan. If I'm wrong on this, a simple correction is in order...no tar & feathers please).

If you have left over from the 30k...you'll need it for your mods!

I picked it up!!

Picked up the car last night! Nice 1 hour drive home! She runs great and luckily it was raining, so I got to take her out on a private road to test the brakes and traction control. Impressive! My first ABS car so you have to excuse me. Simply slamming on the brakes in the rain is weird to me. There was a little more slip than I expected from acceleration in the wet with traction control but hey. I guess the X makes all the difference. The 07' X when I floored the gas in the snow was impressively unresponsive...car just barely moved forward (In EXTREMELY slippery conditions). As a result I don't remember much slippage. Seems like the instant wheel slip was detected the X would cut power fast. The coupe take a little bit longer.

First impressions:

Looks great!
-Power is nice even when you are excessively short shifting
-Tough to pull away smoothly from a stop
-NAV joystick is CORNY! Need touch screen!
-NAV...NO zip-code search!
-NAV DVD is slow
-NAV...all of the above leaves you with a SLOW work-flow. Maybe time to try voice commands?
-Door panels are going to look NASTY! Already got shoe marks on both sides
-S turns feel weird at slow speeds
-Bluetooth is AWESOME! Too bad it can't use my phone's existing phone book
-Sounds MUCH better from the outside. lol
-Steering wheel and dash don't match the quality appearance and style of the rest of the car...wish the wood upgrade was not $700+
-Bose?? Very unimpressed with sound quality and features. Do I have SAT?
-Auto AC is awesome
-Wish I had push button ignition, but key-less entry is nice too and I'll get remote start.
-Trunk MAY not hold a body in it...well...depends on the body. I'll have to try it out on somebody.
-Red signal lights are dangerous and do not match with safety conscious Infiniti's standards
-My cousin's GTI is so gonna smoke me, but I still have the better car overall...MUCH better car!

You could have found a better deal than that...I picked up my '07 yesterday for $20k w/ 32,000 miles. Granted it was a rare find (got it from a member of this forum actually) but I had seen a few '07s going for just under $24,000.

In pristine condition with 12,000 miles, premium and sport package too? What about 5 year 5000 mile warranty?
