Idle RPM

Is 600/650 RPM to low? Car is a 2004 Coupe Auto.

mine is about 450 (03 auto coupe), how do I adjust it??

450 is pretty low doesn't your car feel like it wants to shut off at that RPM?

you wouldn’t be able to register 450 on the tach... the first increment is 500, then every dash after is 100 - are you sure you are reading it correctly? Or did you determine rmp from dyno or from something like Cipher software?

If you are seeing four and a half dashes from the bottom line, that’s 950 rmp (a little high).

you're probably right about his idle though.

you can do it with Cipher... you need some sort of tuning software to adjust it yourself - there is no manual way to do it.

its a canadian model and it idles at ~450 rpm..
any idea where to get "cipher software'?? steeler only maybe??

I agree, the tach starts at 500...unless the Canadian gauges are measured different

I have an 06 manual coupe with single turbo and idles around 1200 but sits at like 2000 rpms when i first start it, that normal? I want to adjust it down.
