*help*Painted lights. Plugged them back in. battery draining
So I painted my headlights when I took them apart I took all of the lights out to bake them. Then I painted them and all that, put em back together hooked up they worked, checked my radio, started my car backed it out everything is good! A accomplishment I was so happy! So this morning I go to start my car and it doesnt start I can hear it trying, and I notice when I lock it I hear a "dim" horn sound not as loud as usual. I unplugged my lights and put a battery charger thing my dad had it was about 35% so I charge it up. to 90% it has been 90% for about 13 hours with the lights unplugged, so I am pretty sure something is shorting out in the lights that is causing the battery to drain. I checked all the connections the only 3 thing I could think of is 1:when I took apart the headlights I noticed that they grey box on the bottom was missing a screw in it but I didnt think it would cause the battery to drain. 2: maybe I got the headlighs and wires mixed up but I dont think this would be the cause because everything on the headlights were equal 3:I plugged in a cigarrite lighter (power plug) splitter while I had the headlights out but would this really cause it? I am very worried I think my best bet might be to drive an hour and a half to infiniti told them what I did, look like and idiot having them fix it. but I would LOVE and feedback that anyone has thanks. oh yeah if it helps its an 07 g35 coupe.
*UPDATE*:My car does start with the ciggarrite splitter and headlights unplugged, and the battery seems to be holding up with those 2 things unplugged. the horn also honks as loud as it used to when the car is locked

I would try hooking the lights back up, but leave the power plug splitter unplugged. See if the battery drains. If it does, then you know the problem is the lights, and can go from there (I'm sure someone here will have ideas of what to check). If it doesn't you know you didn't do anything wrong and it's the power plug splitter draining power. If that's the case you just need to make sure to unplug the splitter when you're not driving.
