3,000 to spend on mods! help decide please!

What can i buy with 3,000 to get the best HP gains brands name etc.. and its a auto tranny btw..dont want to SC or turbo it would just like some HP/Torque to the pedals! right now all i have install is jwt pop charger...thanks
We have zero information about what you're driving, so post in this thread at least what year G35 you have. Then we can help you spend that $3K wisely. Regardless of the year you need a HKS exhaust and Fuji intake, that's a start....more info please.

to make the best, most informed decision that you are less likely to regret later... you should spend some time reading through intake/exhaust section, tuning/dyno section, drive-train section, wheels/tire section and suspension/brake section... also, check out the NA build section of tech forum on my350Z.
Anything less is really a waste of your (and everyone else) time.

Keep track of your driving habits in regard to engine rpms, etc. Then decide on performance mods. Many mods are appropriate for track, man for the street, and some can help in both conditions. It is not unusual for example for some intakes and exhaust systems to actually decrease performance for the street while giving good benefits for the track, and the same can also be true in reverse.
I would look at better tires and wheels based on handling, suspension, and especially something like brakes but don't fall for a lot of the hype for slotted and drilled as for many a good quality solid is what you may desire for most driving you will be doing. Slotted and drilled do have their place but most often they are for appearance only.
And as one user mentioned, maybe you do want to spend your $3 grand for appearance as in reality these cars perform better than most out of the box.
NA mods you won't get huge gains. Get an exhaust, Hi-flow cats, intake plenum spacer. Or like someone else said do apperence mods its better bang for your buck. Trade your rear diff with a 6MT guy or pick up a used 3.5FD on from the market place the lower gears will make you car feel faster than most NA mods will.

I would go with the appearance mods myself as the car as far as I am concerned is 'fast enough'. Maybe upgraded the audio or for 3 grand one can actually put in a carputer for something totally high up on the cool scale.
I think you might be able to. Maybe stack up another $500.
Find tein basics for like $500-$700 then find some volks or something for like $2300-$2800 with tires.
Used FTW.
New, definitely not.
