Stupid stupid ignition question
Stupid stupid ignition question
Ok, I'm guessing this is stupid but...
I test drove an 06 G35x. It had a keyfob that only needs to be near the car and you turn a plastic **** where the key would normally be.
Are all G35s like this, or only certain models and years?
Is there a key also? or is it always just a **** you turn? Forgive my ignorance, I've only been in one G35 so far.

I believe if you have the Premium package it comes with the key less remote.
The 03-06 have the **** you need to turn and I think the newer ones 07+ are just a button. I know you can retro fit a button, some people have done that.
If your battery dies in the key fob, there is a smaller key inside that slides out that can be used to open and start the car. This is also your glove box key.

It's park of the premium package on 05-06 Sedans, and standard on all 07+ sedans.
03-04 do not have it at all
05-06 have a **** you turn
07+ is push button.
IMHO greatest thing since sliced bread. Keys never have to leave your pocket to open a door or trunk or start the car.
