I am looking for a G35x right now, prefferably an 05 or 06. In my price range 17-18k, I'm seeing quite a few in the mid to high 40s. I realize this is a japanese vehicle with a very robust engine.

Should I hesitate to buy something with miles in the 40-50k range or is that just fine on a vehicle like this?

 

dude I bought one with 96k kilometers and its fine, just depends of if it was thrashed or not..

 

these engines can hold the power... a lot of people will keep their high mileaged vehicles well maintained.

 

I just bought my 06 G35X on Friday with 48,XXX on it...runs like a champ

 

A friend of mine bought a 2006 G35X with 100k on it a few months ago and it drives like new. It all depends how the car was treated before.

 

an 05-06 with 40k is nothing

most 05-06 are in the 70k range

its about a 5 year old vehicle so 40k = about 8K miles a year

 

I bought mine at 40k last June. It is now at 80k. No issues to speak of other than a few very minor electrical things (heated seat backlight out, power seat switch out).

Just maintain it well and you'll be fine. I plan to drive mine til 200k!
