Hi guys,

So I finally ran across a thread that I have been wanting to write about myself. I had a mustang gt for several years 7 to be exact and could not wait to get to a jdm car because it would be a lot easier to gain the performance part, so I thought.

All of my friends mostly have sti's and I love the car, however not so much the looks, so I said that I would get a G and do the same thing if not better. So far I have spent money on the COBB accessport, exhaust, CAI, headers, pulleys, clutch, short shifter and still the car feels like its not even able to keep up with an sti?

What the hell man? Im really considering to save to get a turbo, however is it even worth it? With all the money spent so far, I have not seen any results?

Anyone that can prove me wrong?

^^^ if you want your G to perform like an FI car (an STI is FI), then save up and go FI with your G.

It really is that simple.

Want more?
you wrong on just about every point... 335i is turbo - 328 you are high if you think will take a G35 - S2K is nimble and will out maneuver in twisties, but is not faster (a G will smoke it in 1/8 or 1/4 mile) IS350 doesn't keep up - M3 and many/most others aren't in the same class... re-read what I said.

Wait, I'll make it easy for you:

Let's be realistic here people. This 6 cylinder semi luxury sports car is not intended to compete with an 8 cylinder sports car.

If you want to compare apples to apples - tell me/us what car in the G35 class out-performs it. Keep price, engine size and luxury comparable.

I'll give you a hint - there aren't any.
now... if you don't understand the concept of apples to apples - "price, engine size and luxury" then you should stop posting.

for someone that recently wrote this in another thread:

The G's just need some slim fast mixed in the gas... we are little luxury pigs . Still love my car though.

0-60 with my friends wrx sti 06 ( stock )
vs mine... exhaust intake.... and it was maybe half a car he was up

safely duhhh.

just an example we are slow, but not the worst.

But a twin turbo G hitting low 13's.. That is pretty sad. Our car is just too heavy. Period..

THIS G HIT 11 FLAT. YOU LOSE!

It isn't slow. Over the years I have drivnen pretty much everything from 60's muscle cars to fairly exotic Italians. If you take price and put in all the other factors and the 'G' is not slow. it isn't as fast as some of what I have driven but then these are all in a different category. Some of these are designed for straight line performance, some for smooth ride, others for high speed travel with lots of corners. On balance the 'G' is not slow.

It was not made for strip, but does pretty fair there. It wasn't made for tracking but some have made it do fairly well there. What it does is provide you with a good riding car that handles very well and does so at fairly high speeds in a comfortable surrounding.

I am in no way ripping on the G, if this car hadn't been the number 1 car on my list to buy, I wouldn't have bought it. So you sir, can keep your childish comments to yourself. I know that is the IP car because there is only a handful of 11 second Gs, and that one just happens to be the most well known.

Juniorbass, who are you referring to?

Is350 Most definitely does keep up, just not right off the line.

M3s and 330s are extremely affordable, how are they not in the same class?

Majority of those cars have a smaller engine than the G.
first of all "because you've seen it" doesn't make them faster I've seen an FX beat a Mustang - that doesn't mean ****. We aren't talking about the one or two cars you've seen at your local drag strip. We are talking about the cars in general as a whole.

2nd; an M3 is substantially more expensive than a G35 (you really seem misinformed).

You simply aren't going to find a car with the same size engine in the same price point with the same level of sport/luxury that will beat a g35 - it really is that simple - no matter how much you want to deny it.

Yup you're right the G is the best car of all time for under $40,000 and it's the fastest one too.

You do know everything after all....
