Kinitex Manifold - Gas Consumption
last month i had the kinetix plenum manifold on replacing the oem manifold and everything looks very good - some power gain i've noticed but not alot!
the real issue is this - my mpg has gone down from 19 to 16 on average!
anybody notice this with their motordyne or skunk or kinetix
plenum manifold you have you?
DOMO

maybe he took them off, so his car could be lighter and get back that mpg...lol
must have the same thing as well, ssv racing 2nd generation kin plen manifold (all black)... sweet whee ... love it...
can't be sure if it makes as much hp as the 5/16 motordyne but the company has dyno it makes more than motordyne and i believe them... that's why i bought it

If it's all black, it's not the SSV, The SSV is totally difference with individual chambers for each cylinder.
What did you pay for the plenum? $800 or $200?
I will guess and say the MPG is effected because the ECU is relearning. Unplug your battery tonight and see how it goes for the next week.

my bad,
not the chrome manifold intake but the black plenum from kinetix? yea it was off of ebay for $230 - my bad - that's why i was like comparing it to the other plenum from motordyne and skunk have you,
already the battery thing i will try and see - won't the ecu just relearn again after that?

Yea the SSV is a savage!!
The gas mileage can be affected during the relearn time. If you reset the ECU that can reduce the relearn time, because it forces the car to relearn instead of of humming and haaing it's way there.

I'll take the stock revup airbox with a K&N over a popcharger or cai anyday. Don't believe the hype.
No doubt, plus that might be the stillen highflow. It looks exactly the same.
You probably see more gain with the SSV and OEM intake than the SSV and an open heat soaking intake. Just won't sound as cool.
