Are the coupes much fast thne the sedans?

I am looking for 03-05 g35 coupe or sedan but was wondering if the coupes are much faster. The reason I ask I because I want a coupe, but they cost more then the sedan and just wanted to know if I would missing out buying a sedan

Theoretically they should be pretty much even. The sedan ( depending on the year ) has 20hp less but it is also lighter. According to this forum though a lot of people believe that the sedans hp rating was underrated to make the coupe "look better" on paper and that they actually BOTH have the same power which means the sedan SHOULD be quicker than the coupe.

I've had both ( I owned a 2003 sedan and a 2003 coupe ) and I felt the coupe stronger than the sedan stock vs stock. We raced both of them and the sedan was quicker but this was when the sedan had mods and the coupe was stock.

In the end...they would be similar regardless.

Just as much as the coupe did. I felt the coupe a little more "peppy" but frankly...it's barely noticeable and maybe it was even all in my head.

That's not a good question.
A good question would be: Are the coupes much sexier than the sedans?

Answer: YES

coupes have a lot more aftermarket parts for it, but some body kits have been coming out for the sedans.

also, if you are hauling ppl sometimes, getting a sedan will allow you to do that.

Sedan with the same engine as the coupe stock vs stock sedan will be a bit faster due to it being lighter.

I dunno man...I sometimes miss the hell out of my ex-sedan. Coupes are sexy as hell no doubt...but sedans have this allure about them.

you'll see coupe front-end conversions for the sedans...

but you won't see a sedan front-end conversion for the coupes

Sedan is faster, the 20hp difference is not actually there. Infiniti unrated the engine to make the coupe look better and sportier from the buyers perspective. When dyno'd they are near the same.

Coupes look a little nicer, but also have a near useless back seat and small trunk and are more expensive, not to mention a tad slower.

The speed difference is not enough to really care, if you love the coupe, you love the coupe.

I dig my sedan, plus their are tonnes of new parts for the sedan!

Deezflip; We've seen two and that wasn't because they liked the coupe front end more, it was because their weren't enough aftermarket bumpers and there were no aftermarket hoods. I will bet 80% of the sedan owners on here wouldn't convert even if it was free!!! (or maybe I'm alone...lol)

You could always spring for a used IS-F or used M3 Sedan. Also the G37 sedans are nice if you want 4 doors! I still love my coupe but sedans need love too.
