ok so there is like 2 inches of snow on the ground here now in jersey. i have the infiniti car cover for my coupe. can i put the car cover on now, even though the car has snow on it.
it was cleaned two days ago..
its supposed to snow about 12 inches tonight, so i kinda wanna throw it on now if im gonna. if anyone can let me know, that would be awesome.

What are you using the cover for? to keep the snow off so it easy to pull off all the snow in the morning? Then yea sure.

2 inches of snow on car, wants to put cover on now because expecting more snow on top.
The way I see it, if it stays cold enough and the snow beneath the cover doesn't melt then it would be ok. BUT, if the snow beneath the cover happens to melt, then the snow on top freezes the water thats below the cover, it would freeze your cover to your car's paint.
IF it was me, I'd just as well leave the cover off this time. I'd wait and wash the car after the snow melts versus risking buggering up the paint with the cover being frozen to the paint.

Good chance the cover could potentially freeze to the car and then you def don't want to pull it off.
Only time i would use a cover during a storm is if there is a light fluffy snow coming down that can be easily brushed off. If the snow is wet and there is any chance of it freezing, i'd leave it off. Last thing you want to do is try to take a cover off that's frozen to the paint.

Read that totally wrong, yea leave it off. Only put the cover on a clean, snowless car. IMO

Yeah you should just leave the cover off, you don't want any kind of (potential) moisture under the car cover.
Next time, check the weekly forecast and try to anticipate the snow/rain/bad conditions so you can put your cover on ahead of time.

No way, if the moisture under it reacts poorly, you could damage your paint.

yea like eveyone else is saying, moisture = bad.
i didn't know it was for paint reasons, i thought it was for rust prevention, but there you go.
