Will the G35 coupe be a classic one day?
Being that this car has a pretty good fanbase right now, and has had one since the beginning, do you see it someday being mentioned in the same sentence as other Japanese classics like the RX-7, Supra, 300ZX, etc.? Why or why not?
+1. Perfect breakdown.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

I think the first gen has "classic lines". It will always stand out from other cars and will be instantly recognizable even in 20-30 years.
Whether that makes it a classic car, who knows.

I named those just off the top of my head. I don't know if down the road, we'll be talking about first gen G35 coupe like the previous generation would talk about 1960's muscle cars.
Doubt it. But, I always appreciate seeing an old car in pristine condition because by then there aren't many of them and it just says something about the owner/car relationship that I can't describe. If you like the car, take care of it, keep it for a long time regardless of what anyone thinks.
none of the Gs will be a classic... just another car (a good car in its class, but not a classic)...
The 350Z will be - it will follow the history of all previous classic Zs (240, 260, 280 - much more than the 300)...
and of course the GTR will be.
