G37 loaner how do you open the gas tank.

I have a loaner while my motor is getting replaced. I've tried unlocking all the doors and push on the gas door open. I couldn't find a button by the steering column for the gas door. and I don't have the owners manual. SO could someone help me with this. the car is on empty and I don't want to get stuck.

if the door is unlocked, just press the right side of the gas door in and it will open.

I do not know if the sequence varies but on my 03, you must unlock the drivers side door and with it open turn the key in the door lock twice to the right. then go to the window switches and lift the one towards the glass once. then go to the filler door and push the back side in *(towards the rear bumper)

I rented a G37 sedan a couple of months ago. I had to hold the key fob in my hand near the gas door. Having it within proximity of the gas door allowed it to open.

Yeah... I found it weird too. I tried everything! The guys at the gas station must have thought I was insane.

Try pushing on both sides of the door. The coupe and sedan (on the G35s) open different ways.

Push the right side of the door. NOT LEFT SIDE. Sedan and coupe doors works differently.

Make sure you unlock the doors. Yes, all the doors. You can do this by pressing unlock button inside the car or use the key fob button twice.

I figured it out thanks guys. I don't get why they would make them different on the coupe and sedan.

The fuel door, at least on the 06, is locked/unlocked when using the power door lock to lock/unlock the driver's door. After disconnecting the battery, you're out of luck? It stays whatever it was at the time the battery is disconnected. So if it's locked and the battery is dead....good luck trying to fill up
