BBK are a nightmare to powder coat, Remove anything plastic. Spray ons like VHT tend to flake off. Just get new ones lol.

i didn't have the money for akebonos and didn't want to convert to the brembos, so i just got slotted/dimpled rotors and hawk pads... and i painted the the main part of the caliper glossy red... it doesn't look too bad imho...

there is absolutely no reason to show off OEM (non-Brembo, non-Akebono) calipers... not even with silver (especial not silver actually)... the idea (imo) is to hide the puny brakes, not hi-light them... painting them a bright color looks like you are trying to show them off - which looks silly..

Blsack is the only color I would paint OEMs

Here is the picture I originally got the idea of two tone. The reason I thought the yellow wouldn't look that bad is the picture duplicolor has on their website shows something very similar to stock calipers (two piece with the bar that wraps the caliper). I think the G35 front calipers actually are bigger then this picture.

I just bought a few different colors and can always repaint if it looks awful.

Second, if I do end up with BBK. Does anyone know if these fit the stock 17" wheels until I get the bigger wheels I am looking at?

^ no they don't fit, you're going to need an 18" with a lower offset. Coupe 18" wheels will work though, 18"x8" +30 offsets.

I went with black calipers but i put the infiniti decals on the front...

Personally, i think they look ALOT better than stock, especially because my wheels have such big gaps and its easy to see behind them. The rotors and calipers like that really help complete the look of the wheels.

IMO painting the stock calipers any flashy color is just stright up ricer. red, yellow, blue, pink. any color that pops out, it looks rice. the blacks and gun metals look clean.

^^ I like the gunmetal idea: it's not stock, nor does it stand out, but you can tell whoever did it put in a little effort to make it look decent. And no lettering, IMO.
