2004 g35 correct ecu reset?

whats the correct way to reset my car? ive done the negative battery cable unplugged, i heard thats not fully doing it. any help with the different way

i was also looking into doing this earlier this summer but gave up... i would interested to know as well

correct me if im wrong but from what i was told you gotta disconnect both pos. and neg. leave it unhooked for bout 10-15mins then put it back on.
