Two perfect examples of noob questions are memoralized in perpetuity in mine and Blue Dream's signature.

I think if you're going to use a quote from someone for your signature it's respectful to delete the op's user name. I wouldn't like constantly being reminded of a dumb noob question I asked.
I was too fired up and the coffee hadn't kicked in so good catch.

I do like your sig suggestion. I have always kept the OP's name so people didn't think I just made this **** up but you make a good point. There's too much good stuff on here to pass up to not immortalize the ones that amuse me. No more names, but always good quotes!!

Darn tootin' Rasputin! The secret is to wrap the can in tin foil,it looks like stainless steel.

I've been a member here for a little over a month and I agree with the OP on everything. If you search correctly AND patiently go through the results you're bound to run into the answer you want. Plenty of threads answered by experienced senior members who know what they're talking about.

And not to mention some noobs I see are clueless AND they think they're the **** while they ask retarded questions.

There are several new members that no matter how many times you explain that all of their questions can be answered by doing a SEARCH, and that SEARCH is there friend they don't listen. They continually make threads like, I discovered how to debadge or How do I make my paint shiny. Then some azz tells him to colorsand his G35 or use heavy duty compounds. I sent him to our Care & Polish section but he'll probably ignore my suggestion....WTF live and learn. (the hard way)

^A great example on the end of the good side of this site. What he wants to do to his car is a great example.

I am young, bought my car used, but even i know most of this crap. Hell, all you gotta do is search. It really isn't that difficult.

Hey everyone,

One of you said, probably joking, that these replies would just **** me off even more. Quite the opposite. I've been laughing pretty hard at some of your replies, so thank you, I needed it. The noob/boob definition was great, and I think the Pringles can would be better as an intake than an exhaust. Someone said put foil on it so it's shiny, but I think the real advantage of the foil is to minimize heat soak.

And as a chip afficionado/addict, I'd say Doritos are my favorite dry chip, followed closely by a good sea salt and vinegar potato chip, but I'm very partial to good chips and salsa. Very tasty, and with them I can at least pretend that I'm eating something healthy. The rest you can have.

And to any of you who's original work I based my complaints on, I apologize. I really do try to be helpful here most of the time even when it's obvious someone didn't make any attempt to find out on their own. ALL of us were new to the world of auto forums at some point, and it's always better to lend a helping hand than to criticize. I just ask that if you don't know the answer to something, then don't answer.

Peace.

If it's at the top, it's more likely to get used, I figure GSPOT gets the most since it's the first one and seems like a general forum.
