Just drove down the road in the rain jumped out for 5 mins got back in and all of a sudden my oil light and door open light are stuck on and my speedo, tacho and water temp gauges are not working….

Anyone know what may have caused this?? And how to fix it??

I had traction control on and the “slip” light lit up a few time (I hardly ever leave traction control on) and vaguely remember reading that some slip in the wet can cause issues with warning lights???

i have.. i cant find anything the same as whats happening with mine.. pretty broad question, dunno exactly what words to be searching to get the result i want.. maybe you could point me in the direction of a thread with the same issues??

sounds similar, but im only having issues with the gauges and oil lights and door light.. nothing to with teh VCD or slip etc, is a problem.

 

I am assuming you have since restarted the car and the gauges are still not working while the oil and door lights remain on..?

 

yeah have done so a few times today and its all the same no change.

 

Not sure I can help you with this one.. but I'm sure a few, far wiser men than myself will step in an assist you.

 

Not sure as this is something I have never heard of. Maybe something got wet and needs to dry out. Try resetting your ECU and giving the car time to air out.
