Carbon Fiber Questions....
I had an unfortunate keyjob happen to my hood and drivers side last week. I am thinking of dropping the money on a carbon fiber hood but I need questions. First and foremost, how is the fit? Im sure it depends on the manufacturer so who is the best? Second, I live in Minnesota and the car will need to be driven in cold weather. Does carbon fiber hold up well in cold climates? Is there any good vendors on our forum you would reccomend?
I really like the ported look, but with snow and rain, is it best to just get an OEM style? Also are hood pins necessary?

Fit;
Good, for the most part. Some companies (ebay $300 hoods are going to fit like ****) are better than others. I recommend Seibon.
The Cold;
It's do fine in the cold, just make sure you give it a good layer of sealant before winter (just like you should with your whole car)
Vendor;
Strafe I think sells seibon....
Hood pins are usually not necessary, the only time they are is when you don't use the factory hood latch. Make sure the hood you're buying DOES use the OEM hood latch.
Style is up to you, the majority of quality vented hood come with vent guards which stop water/snow/debris from getting inside.

^they're right, but what you need to be more scared of, is the bolt that can fall out of your hood latch. I guess since my car has been a part so many times the hood release goes to ****.
I trust siebon, the mount points are mint and I've never once heard of a Seibon getting popped.
But this is what happens when something DOES go wrong and the carbon is higher quality than your fenders. New fenders!
