What kind of mods? To FI this you will have to do a compression test or yank the engine/trans. You also have to look at the price of suspension. It all depends on how custom your going and budget. You will not get much out of bolt ons for this car. If you buy used you buy someone elses problems. Do your research on the site in fact there are dedicated threads to the issues with this car and what to look out for. I would aim for right around 50k that way your still under warranty if its extended and you can still boost at low psi without worrying about the engine as much. Also the revup vs non rev. One has almost 20 more horsepower. If you can get into a good price range this may be the route you want to take.

My answer to you? No.
Modding a G35 is expensive. There only two reasons you're looking at one with 100k+ miles:
A) It's as cheap as a lightly used honda
B) You're replacing the entire engine and transmission and doing a badass car, and don't care about the miles.
I find B very unlikely, so what's going to happen is, you'll intend on doing Big Things under condition A, realize how expensive it is, and end up doing lots of Bad Things that you can afford, like adhesive fender vents, $500 19" rims, a 12" box just thrown in the trunk, seat covers, maybe a cold air intake, louder-but-not better exhaust...
If you were asking if picking up a 100k was good to have as what it is, a sporty coupe/sedan that is reliable and fun, I'd answer yes. But with modding intentions, the answer is no. You could easily mod out a civic with the same mods for cheaper and be getting more MPGs and a lot more variety of mods to choose from.
