the G needs to have the dash moved back, seats back, rear seats deleted and add a v10 TT diesel.

Old MB Sedan

The E Class Chassis are brand new for 2010. Both the Sedan and the E Class Coupe. The E 550 Coupe comes with a 5.5 Liter 382 horsepower V8. Mercedes has a number of high horsepower engines including twin turbos. You'd be surprised that the E Class Coupe is not that much bigger and the roofline is actually lower than the G 35 coupe. I know because I have a black E coupe sitting in the garage beside my OB G35 coupe. In a very unscientific check I measured center of the wheel to center of the wheel the E Class coupe is 110" the G35 is 114". Weight wise from the spec sheets the V8 E Coupe weights 146 lb's more than a G37 coupe. For those of you that want to go Lexus you might want to give Mercedes a look. They are bringing out new models in 2011 in addition to the 2010 E Classes. A couple of the AMG's are in the high 400 to 500 horsepower. Yes you will have to bring your wallet but, they won't be that much more expensive than a LEXUS.

I don't think I would call this an old sedan!

Ah, Lexus cars are built just like Toyotas. And Infintis are built just like Nissans. At least on the mechanical level as they share platforms, drivetrains and ownership

Nissan and Infiniti are both fairly easy to work on... every time I've ever got near a German car with a wrench, I end up doing this --> for 4hr straight.

I've always liked the Z-cars, and I've really liked the direction Nissan has taken in the past decade... but this? Now?
