They have to manufacture them before 07 in order for them to be out for 07 if that makes sense. As for the years the intake is good for i always was under the impression it will fit 03-07 as long as its not a g37 where they went to dual filters.

the 10th digit of your vin tells your what model year your car was sold as. They last guy was correct about the manufac. part. you can see them as far part as sept or so the year before it was sent out to buy. for the 10th vin Y=2000 1=2001 etc. same goin the opissite way. just going backwards in the alphabet

You're fine. Most of the time the new models come out months (late summer/early fall) before the actual year. You can buy some 2011 cars now if you wanted.

Buying an intake takes some research and most of there adds like this one is a lie, you'll never gain that kinda HP with any intake on our G35s! Most of you shouldn't be buying intakes with exposed filters and metal tubing since they'll be exposed to very high heat which kills HP. Just buy a Z-Tube from one of our vendors here on Driver along with a K&N drop in filter. Look on our MARKETPLACE under vendor engine for both....

^ Agreed. I don't know why they are referred to as CAI's when they allow hotter air intake than the factory setup. IMO a waste of money as far as HP gains (probably HP loss) but if you want it for looks and you understand thats all you're getting...then go for it.
Some after market CAI's have an enclosed filter. They may help a little but still not enough to justify buying them for HP gains.
