z-tube + K&N VS. CAI / pop charger

I was wondering if I should get a CAI or a JWT pop chargeror keep my current set up. I'm running a z tube and a k and N drop in filter. I dont expect any gains but I really miss the sound. I've had short ram and CAIs before and the sound is awesome. I dont plan on going Forced Induction so there is probably no point. I'm also running FI HFC, MREV2 and plenum spacer now. I just want to hear from people that have had both and if there is a difference. I'm mostly concearned about getting heat soak. I also like showing off my car to my friends since they all have evos and stis and the cai look more impressive lol.

I heard the stillen intake has a crappy shield and you get a lot of heat soak.

And the units you want don't? The JWT is worse than stillen by far. Take a look at the design.

Stillen has one of the BEST designs, not the worst.

I said it more than once, the R2C intake is my favorite. Great filter, seals against the hood, and has a great sound. Check with Marinelli Motorsports if you're interested. He'll get you a good price.

Is boston even that hot/do you sit in stop and go traffic in the sun a lot? I've been running the popcharger and ztube setup for a year or two and I love it, sometimes it may be a little sluggish when it's really hot but it's not really a big deal imo.

Stillen and Stillen Z tube is the way to go, had one on while getting smogged and passed visual also, here in Cali!! Don't know how strict Boston smog laws are, but as for me Stillen is the way to go.

they all look like pretty good choices. The R2C looks nice, i wish i would have seen that before. I have a z tube with JWT, i have no complaints. I love the sound and feels like i got a little better responce after i installed it. Intake are not going to give you that much hp. So pretty fine something that produces the sounds you like.

It's not that hot in Boston but July and August it could get like 90-100. Most of the time it's colder. the air gets hella humid though. I used to live in the Bay Area and it's nothing like that
