Extended warranty advice anyone?

So I got an 03 6mt coupe two weeks ago at 46k miles for super cheap. Although the mileage is low, the warranty is up and I'm looking at getting an extended one in case I get known issues like oil pooling over the spark plug in cylinder #6, etc. So that leads me to snooping around warrantydirect.com, but I don't want to make any rash decisions without your advice since I've never gotten a warranty outside of the original one before.

Is it worth it? Anyone have nightmare stories with these? Should I just scrap my car and stick with bicycles?

Here are some quick screen shots on price and what not. Of course, they emphasize the ELITE plan. HOLLER!

I don't believe in nor do I trust putting our $ into aftermarket warrantys. Having been around the auto business my whole life I've seen them void for the smallest infraction like one size larger tire than the vehicle came with. If you need a warranty get the Nissan extended warranty, that's what I did.

Thanks for the advice! I didn't know the manufacturer offers extended warranties after the original expires. Turns out my new neighbor is a fellow g35 driver and mechanic at the local Nissan shop, looks like it's time to bring over a six pack and roll out some questions!
