i did search but no one really talks about re anodizing
and i actually have one wheel at sabs at the moment and they are trying to fix it which is what brought this current subject up becuase a stupid truck tried to run me of the road and i went up a curb and it ****ed up my rim. so they are gonna polish it and see what happens but they were telling me that taking off the anodized part and just polishing it , that it will never look as good ...

Most annodizing places refuse to work on wheels, of the 6 places in my city that do it, only one will work on wheels.

They say their is too much liability and people are too **** about colour matching and what not. But you should know nothing is perfect when you get into the custom world.

I can tell u once the wheel has been damaged then it will never been the same.. I have work wheels and I have tried and tried to get them fixed over and over.. once that coating is messed up they can't be fixed. If someone tells u they can polish them.. They can't!! Anything they use will destroy the coating.

I have contacted Ravspec and they will tell u that it can't be fixed. They also told me if u have insured the wheels they will help in talking with the insurance company. They also told me I can buy some more wheels but now the price is 3 grand.

Side note.. I found this place, but I don't know if they do RIMS. I have not contacted them.

Strip the Anodizing, re-polish the wheel. Thats going to be your best bet to get a even color across the barrell. FYI I have heard something about when you remove the anodizing, it weakens the wheels, I have not confirmed this, its just some I heard.
