IMO you didn't get screwed all that bad. Definitely lied to, but not completely screwed. $150 for shocks/struts, springs already installed and the rear spring mounts you got a pretty good deal. This is baring the fact that the shocks/struts aren't blown. Yeah they look a little beat up, but wipe them down, straighten the bent piece that holds the ABS line and replace the upper mount on whichever front assembly that is for $15 and you're golden... I'm not trying to defend the seller cause he did fuvk up, but you're not all that bad off from what I can tell. Let us know how it works out!

 

I'd file a charge back with you CC bank and tell him if he wants them back to pay for shipping and leave it at that. You'll be out no money in the end. As the buyer you do not have to settle for this ****. I hope you used a cc..

 

My consensus says he still will since hes active on the boards. If you just did a lil research you could find out who it is really easily if you want the name that bad.

 

Had I received those in the mail I'd be pissed, you don't want to put that "JUNK" on your G. Stop payment on this clown, he misrepresented what he sold/sent you and tried to make more $ on shipping above and beyond the price quoted....

I think what you got is total bull@#$%! You didn't pay for broken studs, bent brackets, and other broken or abused parts. I'm sure that wasn't mentioned in the listing. I'm sure you can repair or make it work, but then again that's not the point. You were misled as to what you were getting. IMO, try to get some kind of credit for the poor shape of the springs/struts & springs you received. Also, the seller needs to be exposed so that we all don't get screwed by this guy. It's bad enough to get screwed by the corporate world, but being screwed over by a fellow forum member is total bull@#$%!

 

Alright i am just going to give you directions how to do this since we cant figure it out. Click on OP's name. Goto statistics. Find all posts. Look for recent one saying springs it should be like four thread down. Walah. Theres your seller.

dude, are u serious? was making this thread really necessarily? would have responded a long time ago but havent been on and just saw this.

im the seller, and to explain a couple of points, the sale WAS FOR SPRINGS ONLY. THE ONLY REASON I INCLUDED THE STRUTS WAS BECAUSE I DIDNT WANT TO GO THROUGH THE HASSLE OF GETTING A SPRING COMPRESSOR TO REMOVE THE FRONT ONES. when u told me you were interested, i said fine, just shoot over 20 more for shipping and ill ship it. first of, it took me a while to find a box for it, and when i did, i put it inside the first box pictured and took it too usps AS YOU WANTED, and got quoted for 50 since the box WITH STRUTS weighed at almost 60 lbs. i emailed u explaining what had happened, and u responded like i was a mad man for asking u to cover the rest of shipping. LIKE I SAID IN THE EMAIL, AND A LOT OF MEMBERS CAN VOUCH FOR THIS, IF SHIPPING WOULD HAVE ONLY BEEN A SMALL AMOUNT, I WOULD HAVE COVERED IT NO QUESTIONS ASKED, LIKE I HAVE DONE COUNTLESS TIMES. u refused to send the 30 for shipping, and i accepted since i had local interest anyways. and THE PART WHERE I LOST MY DEBIT CARD, I LOST MY ENTIRE WALLET BUDDY, you need identification for any transaction inside the bank. THAT IS THE MAIN REASON WHY I TOLD YOU I WOULD SELL THEM TO YOU FOR 130 SHIPPED, SINCE IT WAS GOING TO BE A HASSLE TO REFUND YOU YOUR CASH SINCE I DIDNT HAVE ANY CARDS TO DEPOSIT MONEY TOO.
i paid for the shipping cash. i already explained to you why i changed the box, i left the box on my yard, and on that night, it rained, messing up the box. I DIDNT THINK YOU WOULD HAVE A PROBLEM GETTING A NON WET BOX? as far as the broken struts, i understand i could have packaged it better, but i explained to you thats how i received my springs by mail, didnt think it would end up damaging the box how it did, and i was in a hurry to ship you your springs. all in all, you should have told me you were going to make this thread, im not here to screw anyone over, i have both worked on more then 50 cars on here, and sold stuff, the last thing i wanna do is mess that up.
like i said in your pm, if you are not happy, ship them back, and i will refund u, no problem.

 

So struts weren't included? Well your springs are absolutely fine and you can do whatever with the extra set of struts you want. You do realize you can rent a compressor from autozone if you want to use your struts instead? It shouldn't cost you any extra and the springs aren't damaged.

And have you not learned not to contact the seller first??? Seriously, so many people like you just try to trash someone, acting like the other person is ignoring them when they haven't even tried to make contact, that's really pathetic...

@Johnny- Its not place place to bash seller since i didnt know the whole story so i just offered suggestions without the name lol. I know how these things usually turn out.

 

OP, Chris is a standup guy. You really should have worked this out over PM's. I still stand on what I said. You got a good deal... go straighten the bracket and replace the front upper mount for a few bucks and call it a day.

 

there's nothing wrong with the springs.

If you bought the springs.......you got the springs, it's not like they are made out of glass or anything.

Seller could have done a better job on this whole deal but it's not like what he did hurt the product in any way.

And you guys are a bunch of pu$$ies.............you don't need no spring compressor for these springs............it's not like you changing a spring on a rail cart.

 

Actually this is probably true, with my z-htechs they were so much shorter than oem springs that I didnt have to compress them to put them on/take them back off.
