Need new Plates HELP!

Well, the day finally came.. I got the registration letter in the mail.. I get 3 choices. Keep my plates, get the new orange ones with a new number, or get the new orange ones with the same number. These are NY plates im talking about so if you don't know what Im talking about, Here..

If any of you have seen my car.. Its black and white to the core.. every thing on it is black or white.. Putting orange license plates on it will make me die a little inside every time I walk up to my car. Here is the issue, I would keep my current plates, but some ***** hit and ran a few months ago and now im left with a plate that is half broken in half and rusting. Does anyone know if I can get a new set of the old plates or is there any way to get a custom color vanity plate?

Depends on your laws I guess.. Up here it's illegal to modify your plate, vanity or not.

WOW!!! I can't even decide on which one. It depends on what you want to do to your ride. They both going to stick out on black. maybe the orange more during the day. It's up to you. Maybe you can do a little copy and paste with these and post up the pix.

I know Alabama has a ton of optional vanity plates (different sports teams, causes, charities, etc...). Maybe NY has something that will be a little less contrary to pure black cars?

Look into the causes or organizations plates or soemthing. They're still blue and white and you'll get some shiny new plates if you can find one you don't hate too much. The new plates do suck.

Yeah, there's tons of custom plates, surely there's a cause you can support to get the non-orange plate.

Glad Wisconsin doesnt have ugly plates....

If I had to choose Id go with the current blue/white one... but try to find one that isnt so obnoxious. Almost every state has special plates commemorating different things, usually with better colors

I love that Virginia has so many options for tags.
