2000 Infiniti G20: Reliable?

Add the diesels to the list as well. Though I don't know if that applies to the current ones, but up to 05 it did.

And for the record, our Mexican made jetta was less problematic than our Canadian made Toyota.

We just bought a 2001 with only 11k on it in August for the fiancée to drive to work and back. It now has almost 15k but so far no problems. Probably not much help since it has such incredibly low miles but so far its been a great commuter! We practically stole it from her father's neighbors. A little old lady drive it to and from the hair dresser and that's about it and then would just park it in the garage.

Yeah I don't know about the current ones either. Didn't know the tdi's were made over there too though, good to know.

2001 with 11k on it, damn. Seems like you got a helluva deal on that.

be prepared to spend $ replacing things, heating system, radiator, belts, hoses, etc

If you do it yourself all that stuff should be around $500

Why is everyone hating on buying a 10 year old car?

Thas not really that old

Interesting... every one I have worked on (back in the day) had a 3 in the first vin digit.

my only fear with cars that old is that you never know what might go wrong. just my 2 cents.

G20 Limited with Sunroof
Still reliable in 2024

I just bought a 2000 G20 in October. Has a small exhaust leak, but other than that it’s been very reliable! Great car!
