Nissan Sport Advertising Sales Position
Nissan Sport magazine, a quarterly print publication dedicated to Nissan, Datsun, and Infiniti, is looking to add another member to the team. Who we'd really like: an expert advertising salesperson with a passion for Nissans/Infinitis/Datsuns who can also write halfway decently, work comfortably on the internet, and knows a thing or two about cars and trucks. And can take pics. And can drive well. And can deal with other Nissan misfits. Whoa, before you quit your job as a heart transplant surgeon, understand that salary is 100% commission-based. So your success is linked to the effort you put in to it. Income will be limited to start while you grow sales, but hey, youll be working for an international car magazine, you can set your own hours, and you can work out of your house in your ratty Datsun T.
Position requirements/duties:
· Work will be conducted from your home office, so youll need a computer with high speed internet connection and a cell phone (overnight and weekend work may be needed in some rare instances).
· We prefer applicants to have knowledge of the automotive and aftermarket industry, but will consider all candidates who demonstrate a passion for selling and the ability to seek out and develop new business leads (including cold calling).
· You should have excellent organizational skills, as you'll need to track and manage clients worldwide. That means you should know your way around Word, Excel, and the Internet (Access and Act database skills are a plus but not required).
· Other opportunities with the mag may include developing a project car, writing articles (DIY how-tos, covering local events, spotlighting parts), and testing new products. So being able to write, take good pictures, and wrench are all plusses.
· Currently employed sales reps, folks in part time jobs, and college students with some free time on the side are encouraged to apply.
