If you have the money for a IPL who cares? But for the people who don't, then don't bother with it.

IPL isn't worth the price IMO I think they're really just testing the waters with a Performance line for Infiniti. From what I can tell the R&D department needs more research because if you look at it it's really a sad line when compared to more prestigious lines like the "M" line for BMW or "AMG" for Mercedes. I just dont see why you need to spend so much for something so undeveloped. They want to charge you an arm and a leg for a couple more things than what a G37 S coupe would have. I think the better deal would be to buy a G37 S coupe add a few mods and call it a day. But if I had a choice I would get the 370z no doubt about that.

I'm afraid that a lot of you are underestimating the cost of the regular G37. The G37s with the 6mt, aero package, R spec brake pads and 19 inch 9 spoke wheels lists for $50,440. The IPL coupe at Grubbs lists for $51,270 throw in another $1,000 for the 6 speed and your at $52,270. Now the question is can you mod a regular G37 to gain 18 hp and a body kit for the $1,770. I'm a proud G35 owner and would not consider buying either the G37 or the IPL. When you start talking about Mercedes AMG's, BMW M's etc. The C63 AMG which is the cheapest of the AMG lineup will cost you $72,000. Do you think anybody would buy an Infiniti G37 for 72,000?

If the IPL came twin turbo like the 335i... that would be sick..

Maybe they'll get their head asses at R&D... IMO, IPL is fail.

Wonder if theyll come out with an M45 IPL...

From what I've read three things seem apparent about the IPL:

1) It is not that much better than a similarly equipped G37 in terms of performance.
2) Therefore, it is not worth the difference in price.
3) This is just the beginning for the IPL line. Stay tuned, it will get interesting.

For my money, I'd find a used, low miles, loaded, second gen (08?) G35 6MT. To me, that's currently the point at which value/performance/ luxury converge.

As mentioned elsewhere, if I had the money for a new IPL I'd be looking at some other brands......but not sure what else you can get for that kind of money.

A Fully loaded G35 went for 40k.

A Fully loaded G37 is now 50k?

No wonder the sales aren't as good.... The biggest thing the G had over other vehicles was the price. I think it was 35k for a moderately equipped G. Which isn't bad for a "entry" level "Luxury" vehicle.

But for 50k, are are several options to choose from. Infiniti is moving BACKWARDS. What's next? a G25? To compete with the Scion? LOL
