ive done similar things to other cars but that was actually soldering in a wire TO the ground wire and picking a good spot to bolt it down to.

LOL. JK. I got a sandwich from Lee Sandwiches and had to put the rubber band somewhere.

i understand the concept but i just dont know if grounding it to the body is effective compared to giving the ground wire a fresh individual ground source.

I think if this way of grounding the MAF was effective Infiniti would have employed it. never heard of this....but if 3 out of 4 people swore by it I might consider it.
