Took my 05 Coupe for an oil change
So I dropped my car off at Frisby's for an oil change and now they said that the oil light is it. The light wasn't on prior to the oil change. What should I do? They just called and I still didn't pick the car up yet.
I would want to know why this light is on since it wasn't on when you took it in for the oil change. Take it to the dealership but just ask about the light....why's this on?

Not enough time to change oil?
Seriously?
Drive up ramps: 30 sec.
Remove drain bolt: 30 sec.
Time to drain: 60 sec.
Remove filter: 15 sec.
Replace filter: 15 sec.
Refill: 3-5min.
Can you really drive to a oil change place in less time than that?

Unfortunately it looks like it's going to take OP a lot more time to get this resolved instead of just the 30 minutes max it would have taken to DIY oil change.
Replaced mine with a Fumoto valve. 2 seconds to open up, 1 second to close, and zero mess.
Some people just don't like the thought of getting dirty. To each their own, but for me, the little time it takes to DIY is well worth it for me to get under the car and take a look to make sure everything is in order and to avoid hassles such as the one OP is now experiencing.

Oil change is at least an hour affair for me... maybe more... driving to the quick lube and then double checking after is the easiest for me also.
So much easier to drive a car 2'' off the ground over a pit then find the wood blocks, get the jacks, manipulate everything, squeeze under, etc...

Thanks for the heads up on the Fumoto valve. I will get one.
I do the oil on my MC but I can't fit under the car. I would like to know how you DIYers get the car up and level for the oil change. I have to work out in the dirt driveway (country life, gotta love it). No nice clean well-lit 2-car garage with a nice level concrete floor . . .

When I changed my own oil, it took me at least an hour.
Removing the 15+ undercover bolts takes the most time since I do not have the correct power tools.
Also driving up the ramp in a manual takes some time. Need to be really careful.
Add the extra time needed for other hiccups. Bolt too tight, cleaning surrounding area, etc etc.
Also, I let the oil drain out for at least 5 minutes or until there are barely any drops.
7-9 minute for an oil change?
