This.

Pre FI I was running the Shell 91... Now I'm pretty much exclusively Chevron because it is the only station up here that I'm aware of that carries 94. I think some Sunoco but I don't have those in my area.

Thanks for that post Blue... very interested to see if we can track down information about Chevron!

Thats how I roll too! I also add in some Liquid Horsepower once a month and run 44k through once or twice a year.

I can vouch for the shell 93. When I got my camaro a few years ago and swapped intakes, the runners in the heads were funked up. Not terrible, but it looked its 200k mileage. I've been using shell 93 since it is cheap in the town I work in and after about 40k I pulled the intake recently and where the injectors spray it was shiny aluminum down to the clean valves.

My Camaro is also tuned for 93 minimum and I like shell because I can get it cheap and it is top tier. The G only gets 87 but it is always citgo. And my Land Cruiser gets the cheap stuff too but ill at least give a tank of 93 in both every once in a while and run em hard.

I think all G's are required to run at least 91 aren't they? Out here it is only like a 20 cent difference between 89 and 91. So that is maybe 3.50 per fill up. Not worth it when im dumping in 55 bucks already.

That abcactionreport was a pretty interesting article. Im glad I run Shell all the time!

Pretty sure its not required just recommended. Too many threads on this, would say its better, if only for peace of mind, but if you run premium ever y 4-5 tanks its probably alright, like the article above said its best to stick to one brand.

I have a 160 mile daily drive, so I am def looking for the best gas for my 08 35. In the middle of testing ethanol free 91 octane. Went fom 22-23 to over 26 on first tank. Will try a couple of tanks and then try some others, but good results so far from the etahnol free.
