IMO if u go G35 go with 06/07 so u get all the features. But if u wanna go G37 deffinetly 09 and up that way u get the 7-speed transmission (if ur goin automatic that is)

If you find your way dowm to the LA area if you happen to be on vacation, you can buy a brand new G37 coupe under sticker price and you can have a fun drive back to SF in your new G.

decent stereo is what the G37 doesnt have, but then again im pretty much an audio snob.

I had a G37 loaner for 3 days and I just didnt like it.

I love the feel of my G35. The 37 just feels....not right for me.

One big issue for me is the head unit on the G37, you cant swap it out with out heavy modification and customization. Sure you can add an LOC or some kinda processor but I like the feel of having the head unit control most of my features.

i say go for the g37. HR is dedinitely > than the DE. Warrantied. Better Interior (Newer will also likely equal better condition as well). better mpg while getting more ponies (im soooo jealous of the HR motor!)

You also can get the S model with Akebonos. only the 03-04 6mt coupes came with brembos so if you wanted better braking performance, you're limited as far as OEM with the g35.

I still like the rear of the 35 coupe over the 37 but you dont see your rear when you drive and the fact that you will be using the options when you actually do drive makes the deal for me.

I owned both and I currently own a G37S, and there are pluses and minuses to both. You won't be disappointed with either car.

The G35 definitely feels more like a drivers car, and even though the G37 has an increase in horsepower, it also increased in weight, so the difference in performance is marginal at best, and would come down to the driver. Some would say the G35 looks better as well. It also has lighter wheels with the sport package, the 19" sports on the G37 are 28lbs, on the G35 they are 21 lbs. I believe, and you can definitely tell the difference.

If it was me, I'd go with a G37 purely based on the fact it is newer, will be under warranty, and has more features. I think it also looks better, although it took about 2 years for that to happen lol

Thanks for all the great advice! I pulled the trigger this week and got a nice 2009 G37 Coupe Journey with the Premium, Nav, Sport and Tech packages, and the rear spoiler that someone mentioned. African rosewood accents, lighted kick plates... I'm really happy with it.

I just learned though that I can't stream my bluetooth music in the 2009 because they didn't support A2DP until 2010!! AArrrggghhh..... oh well. And the iPod adapter is pretty wonky and forces my to shove my phone in a tiny cubby hole where I know I'm going to forget it and get caught somewhere without my phone on me.

I can't believe how far behind the computers in cars are. They're REALLY clunky and unusable. Like Windows '95 or something. When are they going to catch up? I wish Apple or someone would develop a great computer system for cars.

THANKS AGAIN FOR THE ADVICE, COULDN'T (WOULDN'T) HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YA!
