to the OP, when it comes to friends and letting them test things usually my gsxr, it was known that if you crash, i'm taking your **** til mines is fixed. So unless they had a worthy replacement for whatever I am letting them drive or ride, they aint driving ****.

damn dude that sucks and a perfect reason why not to let honda kids drive your G
I love "wrecked my car with VDC off" threads.
Learned a long, long, long, long (I'm really fvcking old) time ago:
Neither a borrower nor a lender be..
History repeats and reinforces this mantra almost daily. The quickest way to dick up a relationship, friendship or otherwise, is to not follow that rule.
I love my motorcycles. More than my G in fact. A buddy I ride with has a custom bike - no need for details but he's probably got $60K into it. He's been up my a$$ to ride it for almost two years now and it drives him crazy that I won't "take it for a spin.."
No fvcking way. Not only am I not willing to assume the risk, I'm also not willing to let him ride any of my bikes in return.
It only leads to trouble.
Glad you're taking this in stride. I wouldn't be nearly as forgiving. Good luck with the project car and hope you get your dream G as soon as possible.

Live and learn, never let anyone drive your car! My wife's a very good driver, she has great skill driving her Vette. Would I let her drive SLICK, not in this life time!!
