Good paint places in SoCal?

Where are some good places to get parts painted like bumpers, skirts, and etc?

AutoExplosion in Gardena and R&J in Carson are both popular places that this forum's members go to.

Prinny, go to Regional then SoCal at the top is a sticky that lists all the best recommended shops in our area for every kind of service including paint.

Auto Explosion.

They do great custom body work too - painted everything on my car (body, engine bay, calipers, minor interior) and did all the body work... they have done some really great cars = rookie, rryde, martyg35, and many others... some of the best Gs on this site were from Auto Explosion. Honestly there arent any other shops with as many exceptional cars...

just my .02

*edit - if you search kurookie, you'll probably find some old pics of my car that show their color match ability with front bumper and OEM side skirts (it was DG)... since that seems to be what you are looking for it will give you an idea of their quality (many times the paint match is off when people just do bumper & side skirts).

Sounds like their services aren't going to be coming very cheap though lol

Nope. They're among the highest prices in SoCal.

You could hit up Platinum VIP too.

R&J sounds like a better option haha. Bet that it'd be definitely out of my price range to go to Auto Explosion.

R&J managed to match my poly bumper perfectly. The fiberglass sides were close but not perfect. Either way, you get what you pay for with Autoexplosion

but at R&J you get more for your money imho

I was quoted $350 to repaint my rear OEM bumper from R&J a while back. AutoExplosion quoted me $350-400 depending on the work involved. So the difference in price is not that drastic IMO.
