Best Tires?

Hey...

Just noticed wear and tear has taken it's toll on my Eagle GTs and am in need of new tires.

Any recommendations?

Depends on your driving habits,. are you mostly highway or city. Also what area of the country are you in... Could you use just summer tires or do you need all season tires? Are you stock wheel sizes? Also what size rim/wheel do you have? 17", 18", or 19"?

I've heard great things about hankook ventus V12's, I don't have them but I will be picking some up in the next couple of months.

I've used most of the major brand tires on my rides and always had issues with everything but Michelin's. You don't need to buy the PS2s like I have but get a set of Michelin's with a UTOG rating close to 300. They'll always look great, get in excess of 30K miles before they need replacing and they're quiet unlike cheap azz brands. Check with the TireRack for the best deal....

I just ordered a set of the Hankook V12 from Discount Tire for the best price I can find.. They have great reviews on Tirerack and Discount Tire's website. They are summer tires though, so I will be getting winter tires for my stock wheels.

+1 The Ventus V12's. I'm using them now for autox and street use and like them much better than fk452s and nitto. Hard to go wrong with michelin too.

Right now i am running Sumitomo on my car and love how those tires stick to the road. Maybe after this i might go to Nitto, but it just depends on what you like.

I'm running the Hankook V12s as well and it's hard to find a better tire in that price range. However, I'd be rocking the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas if they had a tread design that could be swapped from side to side. They are awesome tires for a summer UHP.

I have directional sumitomo, & cause of camber wear I can get the unmounted then remounted on the other side so it wears the other edge.
