if im not mistaken, i think their speed scanners also grab your license plate#, thats why ppl buy tht stuff they put over their plates that make it so u cant take pics of it or scan it.

And i know in cali they are *******s about red/blue lights, i had blue underglow on my 350z and the law is u can have it as long as you're parked. so me and my buddy were showing our underglow to some kids at walmart(they had randomly walked up) and a cop shows up and starts giving me **** for it n writes only me a ticket. so i asked him is blue illegal and red legal? and he told me that any color is legal while parked but you cant have red or blue flashing. my underglow was hooked up to my sound system so as the bass hit it lit up, while my buddies was a constant red. he coulda EASILY let me off w/ a warning, i even pressed the button on my keychain right there in front of him to switch it to constant, but he something musta been telling him to be an ******* that day.

Stopped for blue LEDS... $175 ticket (PA), which was tossed out by the policeman after we talked a little (and I didn't even have to flash him!)

The only color legal for plate lights is white . Red and amber in the rear is also legal but only for taillights. Blue is illegal anywhere on the exterior and can get you a fix it ticket ot impersonating a emergency vehicle fine .

Ouch. So glad I got rid off mine and didn't get a ticket for the 2 weeks I had them on.

if it's a pure white led, you're only making your plate easier to see so I can't see that being a problem, not sure what blue leds make the plate look like though

I've been getting hassled for my tint lately and they have really been dicks and look for everything on my car to bust me for.. I'm surprised they didn't say anything about my jdm tails..

Why would you be worried about them giving you a hassle about your JDM tails? As long as you have amber or red blinkers your golden.

This post makes no sense to me...from a LEO's standpoint, tint is a big deal, and along with that I'm sure they have every reason to question everything else on your car. That wouldn't make them dicks.
