Asking here wont be that beneficial for ya... call an agent and get a quote.

I had my G under my parents insurance and it was about $1600 a year... I compared rates and i am only paying $996 a year... on my own, HUGE difference!

I compared insurance with all of my friends and mine is cheaper to insure than some of their POS cars..

I had a 2002 WRX and it was 230$ a month. Was gonna get STI but it was 330$ a month got the G35 and found out since it has "class 4 anti theft" (later to find out that the airbag computer that the alarm is wired into has 4 bolts that hold it in place that look like a small version of a wheel lock) it was only $120 a month.

I'm almost 17 and I drive a g35 coupe. As a primary driver they said it would cost around 2k a year. I'm only listed as a secondary and it's 700ish. But it does have a lot of variables with location, model and others

you should always get higher levels of insurance coverage. Its not really that much more.

What if you hit a brand new Escalade and your insurance only covers $50,000 worth of automobile?

Well, the GPA does help out some like maybe 10-15% discount. A bigger detectable will drop it some more. Everyone gets the 500 detectable but also get a quote for 1000 or even 1500 and watch how low it would go. I did the 1000, I am thinking about 1500 next year because i don't tale gate or do stupid things. but just call around and get quotes and see what your parents can do also.

im not sure if you can get 50k with full coverage, liability only you can get 25k in our state. If you hit escalade, the only time you going to need all those 50k is if you total it, and even then you will not need it all cuz escalade depreciates like a ****.

If you can afford it, its always good to have higher limits.

If you buy insurance and just shop for the cheapest possible, you are not grasping the importance of it.

There are people who die everyday from auto accidents. There are people who are permanently injured or put into comas from auto accidents.

Lets say for whatever reason, you were exhausted, spilled something on your lap or something caught your attention for a split second and you happened to tbone a car with a mother and two small children inside... If you were responsible for death or serious injuries; its going to be much higher than 25/50/25. They will sue you for the rest. If you dont have the money, they will legally garnish your wages up to 25% per (some states, CA is example for this one).

You purchase insurance thinking of the worst possible scenario. Its what will save your *** if you really need it. Sure, 1g/2g's a year is alot... but $400,000 (average settlement for wrongful death by auto accident judgment) is much more!

I know, most people hate being forced to purchase insurance and think its very overpriced... and sure, every business does what they do to make profit... but I guess since Im in the insurance industry, Im biased since I see it getting used... =/
